I´m Going to Change the World Manifesto

            The past 12 years I have learned several lessons that inspire me to be a better person each day of my life. Most importantly, my 12^th grade when I reflected on the many people who could receive my help; people who do not have the same accommodations or opportunities I have had.

            Unfortunately I noticed this disparity too late yet with the help of my teacher Ms. Sierra Melcher, I realized that there is an injustice in the world. There is a big difference between the people that have money and those who do not. The richest 20% of the world's people get 86% of world income while the poorest 20% get only 1.3%. (Ted Trainer). This is not a new issue but rather a problem that has been developing for decades. The main reason for this injustice is the economy, which automatically goes to the wealthiest people. This leaves poor people to work for the richest businessmen just for an insignificant salary.

            Sometimes we prefer to avoid worrying about other families and prefer to go to a soccer game, a golf tournament, hairdressing or even a fancy party. While in the mean time, other families do not have anything to wear, eat or resources to buy medicine.  In the movie Food Inc. I witnessed a heart breaking case of a family that was suffering due to lack of money.  A family that has 4 family members and does not have anything to eat, they have to food almost every day in “Burger King” because the healthy food is to expensive to afford it. The father of the family has a disease. He has to consume a specific medicine but if he does he cannot buy healthy food. After watching this film the first thing I taught was; how can I help these people?

            As we all now the wealthy are getting richer every day. So I keep thinking, the only way we could help those people that really have bad situations is by giving them a hand. I think everybody could be prosperous just with a little of effort. And the only way to reach the top is by having a good education in order to be a professional.  This means that if the government or the wealthy people help the people with low resources, then everybody will have the same opportunities to be someone important in the world and at the same time when they have resources; help other poor people. Even though I could not do this by my own so I need to explain my thoughts to everybody I know, passing from person to person until someone recognized or a leader in the world hear it, making those toughs into reality.

            Another catastrophe that I am so worried about it is the climate issue. Teachers of biology, Chemistry, Physics and Social Studies have taught us that if we do not take care of our world, the only people that are going to be affected are our kids.  Since our teacher Ms. Sierra assigned us to make post about the actual world problems, I started to investigate about how the climate is changing and how is affecting us. One time I investigated about a case in Alaska caused by the increase of the temperature melting the permafrost on North Alaska. Permafrost is the ice that is under the ground which must be always frozen so the constructions that are above it don´t fall.  A scientist called Vladimir Romanvosbsky said, "Anything that happens to the climate, it's reflected in the permafrost," he says. "Warmer temperatures, less permafrost, it's simple." This is causing that a lot of houses and buildings in Alaska fall, the roads separate and villages crack. This is shocking for me because what we were taught few years ago, it is really happening now and there is evidence.

            I do not know why these investigations about global warming intrigue me so much but since two months ago, I am thinking about studying something related to the climate. All my entire life I planned to study industrial engineering but now I am thinking of making a master of climatology. My parents and teachers always told me to study something that you really like in order to have more job opportunities. During my whole life I had different options of careers like, fashion design, pilot, economist but with help of my school I realized what I really like and what are the things that I am really passionate. This leaves me to my main goal: demonstrate the real me to the people and be the person that at least tried to safe the planet.

Light Bulb Conspiracy

After watching the film "Light Bulb Conspiracy" my perspective about the industries has completely changed. Before, I taught that industries tried to make their products be better each day but instead it was the total opposite. The majority of factories make an effort to make their products cheaper so they could sell them at high prices. Besides, they try to make low quality products in order for people to buy more. For example, in a company called Phillips, dedicated to create bulbs, which what makes the light is the wire.  For them its better that the bulbs have to be change more often. They have to create more fragile bulbs so it will break easier and the people buy them often. Before, a bulb resisted 2500 hours and now the light resist just for 1000 hours.

There are other cases about this subject were they make the ink spread and trow more than it should normally trow. Even if they have the solution for that, they prefer to leave it like that so they could have more sales, making the people consume and buy more ink. At the same time, some times people need to buy another printer because people say that like their printer consume a lot of ink they have to buy another printer. This is how the seller lie to us, saying that a new a technologic printer will consume lesser but instead is the totally opposite; a new printer consume more ink.

Kep Stevens was a designer and a constructor who created several things like a toaster, cars, and homes. He was recognized for his strange houses. One time, he created a house that people taught it was a bus station because no one had seen a house that big and strange. He was famous for his originality and strange designs. Without him there will not exist, security guards, malls or designers.

American Empire falls

The documentary called four "Horsermen Apocalypse" talks about a prediction of how the american empire is going to fall. First of all we all know that United States is the center and the principle government of all the planet  and if the American empire falls we all falls. For example, Colombia depends in everything with United States. A lot of countries can not sustain by themselves and they need  resources from other countries specially from United States.

In the other hand there exist countries like Japan and Russia that can survive by themselves. So if the American empire falls, this countries will be stronger and will become the centre of the world. They have all the necessary resources like military, oil, gas in others to survive and make the world survive at the same time. For some people it will be better and for some will be a catastrophe, I think it will not be the greatest thing of all. Even if people don´t accept that they need US, its clearly that they now how to have the power of the planet. Or even if United States made some big mistakes, they have the power to solve them or the power and to stand up again.

If US empire falls a lot of people will be unemployed and that is a thing that even for China and Russia will be difficult to solve. Whatever other countries do, there will be always consequences for a lot of people.

Monetary system in Colombia

The Colombia money have about half of lost of the dollars. The Super Intendia Bancaria is the bank that control all the money that constructed and the money that is loaned. Unlike the Unite States, Colombia have a moderate inflation. During the course of seven years it increase from 1,000 pesos to 2,000 and this could be described as moderate. 

If the prices get lower or higher is depended of the money that is spread around colombia. Acording to the Banco De La Republica there are three objectives in Colombia, "El primer objetivo es el de lograr determinado nivel de tasa de cambio, el segundo, lograr determinado nivel de la tasa de interés, el tercero, tener movilidad de capitales." This objectives are made up for the efficiency of the saving of money and domestic competition. Eventhogh in order to acomplish this objectives they have to count with perfect inflation so the salaries, and the exachange of rate will increase. 

Colombia is characterized in that the possensions we have are not are not used by us; by the producers. Instead they are are exchanged in the market in order to gain more money. An example of this is the Coffee that Colombia is recognized of cultivating but instead of being consumed but the same Colombians, it is sailed internationally to gain more money. For me, every country have a critic situation about their monetary system.   

Fraction Reserve Money

      The film Fraction Reserve Money was a reflection of how is the money in the planet distributed. In few words the film said that there is a big inflation in whole world. So the question is; how people could end inflation?

      This is a question that will be very difficult to answer because now it is a necessity in order to loan money from the bank. The bank needs to have a reserve of money so that everybody could borrow some and then they have to pay with interests. Those interests make the bank richer so the products that costs 5 cents, now cost 1 dollar and 75 cents. It is not duplicated the price it is extremely multiplied, out of lines, meaning that the inflation will grow more and more.

       In the other hand the bank is a way of debt. Every time someone borrow money form the bank is a debt. If you take 1000 dollar for a house in the bank you have a debt but apart you have another debt of the interest it means, if you had to pay 1000 dollar to the bank, now you will have to pay 1500 dollars. This is a business that no even the government could interfere, this is only in charge of the major bank. They are the only people that could decide if they need to create more money or not.

       For me this is kind unnecessary the fact of creating money. I think they should create a system that the distribution of money should be equally organized so it will not be necessary to ask money for the bank so then the inflation will be over. There is something in my head that I can not believe how is it possible that before there were 2 trillion dollars in the bank and now there are 16 trillion. Or the fact that the bank have 10 billion of dollar but they have to keep at least 10 of them.

the climate is changing causing problem in Alaska

      As you may notice the climate in world is changing everyday more causing more and more catastrophes. Know there is a problem in Alaska caused by the increase of the temperature melting the permafrost on North Alaska.     The temperature now is more degrees warmer than it was 30 years ago. This is causing that a lot of houses and buildings in Alaska fall, the roads separate and villages crack. It is shocking for people living in Alaska because they don´t when their house is going to fall so they have to be prepare. The same scientist said, "We're not trying to scare anyone here," he says, "It's not about telling everyone climate change will be as disastrous so they should stop using gas. It's about being ready for what's coming, preparing engineering and infrastructure solutions for the people that live here." He is totally right, if we keep fighting for the prevention of global warming will never going to be prepare for the consequences in the future because if you didn't notice the fear we had in the past for the increase of climate, now is really happening and we should do something about it. 

food inc relates with racism and economic

     The Food Inc is directly related to the economic and the racism. After watching this film I realized that all the cheap food is made up with contaminate nutrients that affect the human system. Instead the natural food is expensive but is better for the body because it does not have any kind of processes. This is why the discriminate people and the poor people that does not have a lot of money are the people that have more diseases. In the other hand the wealthier people can afford to buy all the vegetables and fruits sailed in the locations. It is important to clear that products sailed in the super market are not always natural so you have to make sure if the place you are buying food is natural and does not have toxics.

      The government should be aware of the diseases that the food are causing. Is not their fault of the people of low resources to buy this kind of food because they do not have other alternative. There is a case that the Food Inc movie showed about a family that have to eat food in Mc Donald's because they can not afford other food. This family have have a decision to make, to eat natural food which is expensive or buy the medicines that the father of the family needs. This makes me think that this is kind of injustice for those people because everybody should have the same opportunities of eating a healthy food.

Climat Issue

           It arrive the time were we need to start worring about the climate change. A New York city mayor said, "I don't know what the world is going to look like in 2050." He is worried about is increasin the population of health problems through the time. He tried to make campaigns for those health problems to abolish, like the smoking or the obesity. 

          The accumulation of carbon dioxide is making the planet to increase the temperature every day. According to the united nations, "We must limit global temperature rise to 2 degrees. We are far from there, and even that is enough to cause dire consequences. If we continue along the current path, we are close to a 6 degree increase." This means that the people that is going to be really affected is our sons. We should not stay quiet and do nothing, we should make campaigns and spread  to the world the importance of taking care the world.

Race

        Race could be described by saying that every body have different biological traits which in some cases makes you be in a group of your same race. In some cases people divides the races in languages, religious, status and class. There are five classes of skin color: black, white, asian, american indian, spanic or latino. Even though the ideas of the race have been changing a lot over the time, "Since the beginning, the way we have classified and defined groups, our laws, social policies, even our scientific discoveries — have all been shaped by shifting political priorities." This is kind of better without saying is good because is a way of world progress.

          The Racism is causing a discrimination toward people which can not have the same education and freedom as us. According to Mr. Selfridge, "Restrictive covenants, which barred homeowners from selling or leasing their homes to nonwhites, were common in many neighborhoods across the U.S." There is a big injustice toward the black people because they can not have the same things that everybody does. The Jews were other victims of discrimination of race by sending them to the ghettos.

          During the pass of the years the population has been growing more and more. And the resources are getting lesser each time more. Thanks to all the wars the money is wasted in armies instead of food. "Many of us have grown up learning and being told that 6 billion is too much and this "over population" is primarily impacting the planet's ability to cope." The planet is getting affected each day more thanks to the bad decisions of the people. 

        The poverty section increased extraordinary thanks to the injustices. The injustices are that the money goes to the wealthier people and the poverty increases more because the few resources are taken by rich people letting people with nothing. "While it might be an oversimplification to say the poor are victims, a lot of poverty, if not the majority is caused by factors which the poor themselves often have no control or choice over."

            The population affect and put stress on the environment society and resources. What the people have to ask themselves is if resources are well used.

John Perkins, the economic hit man

         John Perkins is a men that wrote a book about the confesses of the economic hit man. He totally promotes the peace corps. " They ask what I recommend, and I always say, "Go! Do it! It's an incredible experience." That happens quite frequently; I promote Peace Corps." People always ask to him for a recommendation of what to do with their lives of what road to choose. 

            He is a person that always speak the truth in order for a better management of things. He wrote about the assassination of Roldos, president of Panama and the assassination of Torrijos. He have all the evidence to prove all the catastrophe in those places because he was there. "You can ask people in the Dominican Republic, I'm sure that most people who were alive at that time in Latin America realized that it was an assassination."

              He critize the tinket capitalism, like the commodities of market were the goods were made by the farmers with hard work. For John this is a criminal activity, "Legally speaking, it's not criminal because we've passed laws to decriminalize it, but it should be criminal."

victim of torture

I found this link that shows the body of a boy with only 13 years old that was tortured by the Syrian government during the civil war. This could be a strong video but demonstrate perfectly how some people had to suffered injustice catastrophes. I warned you, if you are a person that can not see cruel things, I recommend to don't watch this video. video of 13 years old kid,victim of violence in syria. If you feel bad about this video imagine what their family felt when they saw him. #Their families were the ones who filmed his entire body.

Videos that changed the world

This is an article from Kainaz Amaria who wrote about the revolutions of egyptians. There were a lot of violence during the period of 2011. Here is an image of an example of the violence that was occurring. This image is called "the girl in the blue bra"

This image is so famous because demonstrate perfectly the situation in egypt. Women who were dragged by the military of Egypt during a protest. Seing this woman with her head all cover and her torso bare give as a message of how the power of the egyptian military was abused.

Facts of Israel conflict

      In a website calles "10 facts" published in 2010, describe in several events how the Conflict that was in Palestine because of the Israels.

      The conflict of israel was such a great catastrophe that destroyed a lot people; adults, kids annd babies. The Palestinians have suffered a lot of bombs that hurt and killed a lot of kids that did not know what was the reason of Israels to attack them in such way.  There were targeted killings, learned about the West Bank separation barrier and heard of the hardships, there were discriminations and humiliations that Israel did injustice to the Palestinian people.

       There was a conflict while ago because the palestinians were exile of the territory land and the Israels obtained almost everything. That fight developed into a big fight for the struggle of the territory. For me, this is such an injustice how Israel discriminate Palestinians in such way without any reason or a reason that is not valid. Even though karma is always present and goes to the people.

Conflict of Unemployment

Unemployment has been increasing through years since 1920 through today; January 8, 1933.  Since the immigrants arrive it has demonstrated an unemployment increase because they work more for less money.

In a farm located in Chicago there was ten Americans workers and they work for 75 cents an hour but when the immigrants arrived they were replaced by 18 immigrants that worked for 40 cents an hour.   That’s why the Americans were not in mind for the works.  It is important because all Americans were staying without works. For immigrants their reason was that they were fighting for their dreams and they had to find a way to obtain the work because farmers will prefer an American instead of an immigrant if they ask for the same money as Americans.

I think that the government has to interfere and find solutions for Americans and also for immigrants. In order to have a regular rate of employment. Even though, Many economists have argued that unemployment increases the more the government intervenes into the economy to try to improve the conditions of those without jobs. Laws restricting layoffs made businesses less likely to hire in the first place, as hiring becomes more risky, leaving many young people unemployed and unable to find work.

Syria in conflict

There was a Syrian civil war during 2011. These protests were part of the wider North African and Middle Eastern protest movements known as the Arab Spring. Syrian protesters at first demanded democratic and economic reform within the framework of the existing government.  

The Syria war has been the event were other countries like France and US are involved by making deals and treatments. Leaders of the countries that are evolved just say opinions about how Obama should deal with Syria. A leader of the government said, “Right now Obama, well fortunately not bombing Syria because we don’t want to do that but Obama is giving up a big leadership role” (Stewart). This quote makes us see how people want to bomb Syria but they don’t want to get in trouble by saying that so they blame everything in Obama. Obama is the only person who really risk by doing the things that apparently are the right things to do but unfortunately people take advantage of that.  

 Apparently United States don´t want a war with Syria but the real question is if it is possible to don´t have a war?. John Kerry, the US democratic politic made a deal, “Make an agreement that could leave Syria with no chemical weapons by the middle of next year” (Stewart). This means that with this deal US or Syria could not have a war. For John Stewart this is kind of ironic because after all this deaths they can´t say they just did that because they wanted.
